Makati City, 13 July 2004. Honda introduces another ultra-exciting and innovative vehicle to its roster of models, the Honda Jazz. The new Jazz defies small car convention by offering benchmark space, versatility, style, performance, fuel economy and world-class safety.
he Jazz is packed with ingenious ideas to make driving more fun and reliable. Its attractive styling is based on the ?zenshin? design concept, which means new, progressive and integrated. The new Jazz employs Honda?s global platform, which creates a new benchmark in innovative packaging and class-leading interior spaciousness. Anchored on Honda?s concept of ?man maximum, machine minimum?, Honda engineers developed a more spacious interior by reducing space for engine compartment. As a result, its bigger cabin and cargo space ensures an elevated level of comfort for both driver and passengers. Unlike conventional vehicles, the new Jazz has a specially designed central fuel tank underneath the cabin floor between the front seats. Honda was able to achieve body rigidity, increased crash protection in all directions as well as safer fuel tank location provided by the floor cross members and floor frame. The new Jazz is incorporated with Honda?s original G-CON (G-Force Control) technology to create a crash safety design that is among the best in the world. Neck-shock mitigation seats in front are equipped with three-point seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters greatly decreasing possibility of injuries in an event of a collision. Three additional three-point seatbelts are provided for the passengers at the back.
