(HCKI) upgraded its texting services, nicknamed HONDAKALTxT, by adding interactive features that will let customers inquire about car prices and vehicle service status through their mobile phones and receive immediate response. To inquire about the status of a car beings serviced, customers need only type [SVC ] (ex. SVC ABC123 or 45DEF) then send this message to 0917-8400777. To request car price quotations, just type [QUOTE ] (ex. QUOTE CIVIC or QUOTE CITY) and send this message to 0917-8400777. The use of SMS technology by HCKI started since July of 2002, and it is being used to send text messages to customers for preventive maintenance reminders, birthday greetings, and announcements of customer related events/activities. Service appointments can also be set by sending a text message to 0917-8400777. All active HCKI customers with registered cellphone numbers are immediately qualified to avail of the said services.
