Honda Cars Kalookan introduced on the eve of February 10, 2004 a new Civic that harmoniously combines class-leading luxury with sporty appearance. The dashing powerful new sedan has a luxurious and comfortable cabin fully equipped with world class safety technologies.
The new Civic has a striking look from front to rear with Smoked Chrome headlights, newly designed fog lights, newly designed front and rear bumpers with built-in spoiler, high contrast taillight, body-colored side-mirror bases, Hydrophillic water-repelling side-mirrors, chrome tail-pipe finisher and newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels.
The new Civic’s cabin is tastefully luxurious with full comfort amenities. The seats and steering wheel with genuine leather/synthetic cover are striking, not to mention sporty headrests for the front seats. Other sporty features include center console and door panels decorated with metallic hi-mesh material, EPS (Electric Power Steering), and red self-illuminating meter. Automatic air-con and 2-DIN audio, Tuner with 6-disc, MP3-compatible CD player, meanwhile, offers a relaxing atmosphere throughout all journeys.
The new Civic comes in two engine blocks. The 16-valve, 2.0-litre DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder offers 155 PS maximum at 6500 rpm and 18.0 kg-m maximum at 5000 rpm. And the 16-valve, 1.6-litre SOHC VTEC 3 four-cylinder furnishes 130 PS maximum at 6600 rpm and 14.9 kg-m maximum at 5000 rpm. These models are fuel-efficient and has been recognized as Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV).
The engines are mated to a highly responsive 5-speed transmission equipped with Grade Logic Control and Active Lock-up systems that allowsfor a smooth shift in all road conditions. Handling has never been more relaxed fun-filled with the EPS power steering. The new Civic’s suspension features a toe-control link strut with stabilizer in the front and reactive link independent double wishbone with stabilizer in the rear, making for a smooth ride always.
For safety, the new Civic comes with G-Force Control (G-CON) technology that controls and absorbs collision impact, a 4-wheel disc brake, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) that properly distributes the brake-force to all wheels, not to mention the Brake Assist System for rapid and effective response under all circumstances. The front seats have Dual SRS airbags that work in synch with the pretensioner seatbelt and load-limiter system for maximum safety.
